Peter ’61 and Maisie Wall
“Life has been good to my wife Maisie and me, and we want to be good to others,” says Peter Wall ’61.
Peter Wall ’61 has long supported Providence College through donations and volunteerism. He currently serves as one of the Class of 1961 committee members, rallying support and participation from his former classmates. Peter and his wife Mary Ann named PC in their will with a gift of $25,000, designated to support the PC Fund in honor of Peter’s upcoming 55th Reunion.
Peter credits PC for instilling a sense of ethics in everything that he has accomplished since graduating. He worked in commercial roofing sales for many years. He remembers relating to customers and conducting business based on the values taught at PC—honesty, integrity, fairness. Peter holds the Dominican Fathers who taught him in very high esteem.
Peter Wall hailed from Medford, Massachusetts, graduating from Malden Catholic High School with his buddies Joe Keough, Tom Byrnes, and John Hurley, Jr. (Rev. John Hurley, Jr.), all of whom became part of the Class of 1961. Peter believes in the PC community and the friendships that form at the College.
When Peter was considering PC, it was the encouragement of his older sister’s then boyfriend, Ron Sullivan ’56, that really persuaded Peter to come to PC. Peter and Ron lost contact shortly after Ron’s graduation. But as many Friar Family stories will have it, they met up again during Peter’s 50th Reunion five years ago. The two have reconnected and socialize on the Cape!
We are so grateful to alumni and friends like Peter and Maisie Wall for including Providence College in their estate plans.
